Creative Solutions is the hardware solutions arm of Firekracker. Firekracker is featuring a small line of hand-picked quality products catering to the pro-graphics and creative industry. We love them, we use them, now we’d like to share these products with you!
The Creative Solutions Team
The people behind Firekracker Creative Solutions are Lisa Anne and Martin Taylor. She runs a Quad-Core Intel MacPro operating OS 10.5 and every possible version of Creative Suite. He runs a custom-built Quad-Core, running Windows XP Pro (both 32- and 64-bit) and testing Windows 7. The office bares witness to many Windows versus Mac discussions.
Lisa Anne, Director
Lisa Anne intially set up Firekracker to produce and provide her clients with excellent creative and design work.
In the process of consulting for several private clients and design agencies, she noticed that many Designers,
Studio Managers and IT personel were constantly running around and wasting valuable time — and money — on
products and solutions that did not combine well with their own set-up, or “just had to do for now” as they could not find exactly what they were looking for.
With a background in Visual Communication, Photography and Creative Direction, as well as lecturing in private and state colleges and universities, Lisa Anne has worked with and tested the lot. From portable hard drives to color-calibrated LCD monitors, scanners to design software plug-ins, Lisa Anne can separate the best from the rest, a bargain from a clunker. And there’s a rumor that she’s pretty good with all those design and imaging programs too!
Martin Taylor, Business Development & Technical Manager
Originally from Perth Western Australia, and with over 13 years of practical, hands-on experience within the IT industry, Martin has gained a solid understanding of the IT industry, approaching issues with solution based approached, rather than the traditional break-fix scenario. Having worked closely with some of the biggest corporate customers and government customers in Australia (such as the Wesfarmers Group, Austal Ships Groups, Centrelink and the Departments of Community Development, Defence, Health and Justice), alongside both national and international vendors, Martin understands the technical, logistical and economical challenges to overcome when supplying solutions to customers. This knowledge allows his customers, both small and large, to focus on their core business, as we deliver ours, with minimal downtime or interruptions.
Martin Taylor was brought on board with Firekracker to help develop the Creative Solutions arm. Initially on a consultancy basis, he has now been charged with evolving this particular facet of our business, by both expanding the products and vendors that we carry and promote, as well as educating our staff on both present and upcoming technologies. Now based within our office, Martin is currently running a quad core machine with both 32-bit and 64-bit flavours of the upcoming Windows 7 as well Windows XP Professional, and is working on gaining a greater understanding of the Apple Mac environment.
